In 2020-2021, 327,871 education students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Far Western US region, there were 41,223 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $54,796 and $22,931 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 9,948 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,720 and $23,024 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Education for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 74 colleges that offer a degree in education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
