In 2020-2021, 327,871 education students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.

Across Washington, there were 7,355 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $55,228 and $21,018 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,072 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,905 and $22,558 respectively.
