Northeastern University has taken the #1 spot in this year's chemical engineering ranking for non-traditional students. Northeastern is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston. Northeastern also made our Best Colleges for Chemical Engineering in the New England Region list, coming in at #3.
About 0.5% of Northeastern students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 7,987 students take at least one class online at Northeastern. There are roughly 1,267 part time students in attendance at Northeastern.
The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Massachusetts - Lowell. Located in the large suburb of Lowell, UMass Lowell is a public school with a large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UMass Lowell has also earned the #6 rank in our Best Colleges for Chemical Engineering in the New England Region ranking.
