In 2020-2021, 28,166 people earned their degree in electrical engineering, making the major the 30th most popular in the United States.

Across the Southwest region, there were 3,431 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,382 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for EE for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 31 colleges that offer a degree in electrical engineering. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great electrical engineering programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
