Best Engineering Schools for Non-Traditional Students

University of Washington - Seattle Campus has taken the #1 spot in this year's engineering ranking for non-traditional students. UW Seattle is a very large public school located in the large city of Seattle. UW Seattle also made our Best Colleges for Engineering in Washington list, coming in at #1.

About 2.8% of UW Seattle students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 3,490 students take at least one class online at UW Seattle. About 5,528 of the students at UW Seattle are attending part time. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Washington State University. Located in the distant town of Pullman, Wazzu is a public college with a fairly large student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Wazzu, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering in Washington ranking.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 4.1%. 3,345 of Wazzu students are exclusively distance learners. About 4,795 of the students at Wazzu are attending part time. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Our rankings recognize Gonzaga University as the #4 school in this year's rankings. Gonzaga is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the midsize city of Spokane. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, Gonzaga has also earned the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering in Washington ranking.
