Romance Languages is the 65th most popular major in the country with 15,009 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, romance languages graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,474 and had an average of $22,151 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 2,299 romance languages graduates with average earnings and debt of $28,647 and $22,094 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,009 romance languages graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Romance Languages for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 29 colleges that offer a degree in romance languages. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great romance languages programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

College of Charleston ranked #22 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Romance Languages for a Bachelor’s list. College of Charleston is a fairly large school located in Charleston, South Carolina that handed out 38 bachelors’s romance languages degrees in 2020-2021.

University of North Florida landed the #23 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Romance Languages for a Bachelor’s ranking. Jacksonville, Florida is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s romance languages degrees to 17 students in 2020-2021.
