In 2020-2021, 6,158 people earned their degree in dietetics and clinical nutrition services, making the major the 128th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, dietetics and clinical nutrition services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $37,641 and had an average of $27,579 in loans still to pay off.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Nutrition for a Master’s” ranking, we looked at 70 colleges that offer a degree in dietetics and clinical nutrition services. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent dietetics and clinical nutrition services programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

With a ranking of #24, Parker University did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for Nutrition for a Master’s list. Dallas, Texas is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s nutrition degrees to 50 students in 2020-2021.

The impressive undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 10 to 1 means that students may have more opportunities to work more closely with their professors than they would at other schools. University of Nebraska Medical Center did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for Nutrition for a Master’s ranking, coming in at #25. University of Nebraska Medical Center is a public institution located in Omaha, Nebraska. The school has a small population, and it awarded 8 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.

UNMC did well in our major quality rankings, too.
