Out of the 3 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in District of Columbia for History for a Doctorate that were part of this year’s ranking, Georgetown University landed the #1 spot on the list. Georgetown is located in Washington, District of Columbia and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 16 doctorate’s history degrees to qualified students.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend George Washington University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in District of Columbia for History for a Doctorate list. Located in Washington, District of Columbia, this large private not-for-profit school handed out 3 diplomas to qualified doctorate’s history students in 2020-2021.
GWU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best History Doctor’s Degree Schools in District of Columbia” list.Our most recent data shows that 1 of the 27,017 students enrolled at George Washington University were GI Bill® students, of which 1 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
