In 2020-2021, 61,055 people earned their degree in legal professions, making the major the 16th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, legal professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,649 and had an average of $28,699 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 13,591 legal professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,704 and $29,689 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,579 legal professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,328 and $20,384 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Legal Professions for an Associate” ranking looked at 29 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in legal professions. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent legal professions programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
