Mathematics is the 35th most popular major in the country with 30,202 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $45,168 and had an average of $21,863 in loans still to pay off.

Across Washington, there were 425 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,484 and $21,429 respectively.

UW Seattle did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 48,149 students enrolled at University of Washington - Seattle Campus, 1,283 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 769 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $14,190. On top of their other funding sources, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Whitworth University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Washington for Math list. Spokane, Washington is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s math degrees to 20 students in 2020-2021.

Whitworth also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Among the 2,756 students enrolled at Whitworth, 125 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 89 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $11,257. You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Pacific Lutheran University. The school came in at #3 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Washington for Math. This small school is located in Tacoma, Washington, and it awarded 12 ’s math degrees in 2020-2021.

PLU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 296 of the 2,907 students enrolled at Pacific Lutheran University were GI Bill® students, of which 188 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. University of Washington - Bothell Campus landed the #6 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Washington for Math ranking. Located in Bothell, Washington, this medium-sized public school awarded 46 degrees to qualified ’s math students in 2020-2021.
