Health & Physical Education is the 11th most popular major in the country with 67,146 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,386 and had an average of $24,576 in loans still to pay off.

Across Ohio, there were 2,527 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,942 and $26,721 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,932 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,341 and $26,852 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health and physical education programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Bluffton University did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Phys Ed for a Bachelor’s ranking, coming in at #25. This small school is located in Bluffton, Ohio, and it awarded 21 bachelors’s phys ed degrees in 2020-2021.
