Health & Physical Education is the 11th most popular major in the country with 67,146 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,386 and had an average of $24,576 in loans still to pay off.

Across North Carolina, there were 3,043 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $26,744 and $27,208 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,665 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,368 and $25,940 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health and physical education programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

UNC Charlotte also took the #15 spot in our “Best Health & Physical Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in North Carolina” ranking.According to our most recent data, University of North Carolina at Charlotte supports 30,146 students, and 1,476 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 642 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
