Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent parks, recreation, leisure, and fitness studies programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Oregon State University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Parks & Rec. Oregon State is located in Corvallis, Oregon and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 253 ’s parks and rec degrees to qualified students.

Oregon State not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.According to our most recent data, Oregon State University supports 32,312 students, and 1,559 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,000 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Monmouth, Oregon is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s parks and rec degrees to 52 students in 2020-2021.

Western Oregon State College did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 187 of the 4,554 students enrolled at Western Oregon University were GI Bill® students, of which 89 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. McMinnville, Oregon is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s parks and rec degrees to 20 students in 2020-2021.

Linfield also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Among the 1,392 students enrolled at Linfield, 50 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 30 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $13,145. In addition to receiving other benefits, 6 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

In addition to being on our oregon vets studying parks & rec list, GFU has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, GFU supports 4,106 students, and 145 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 77 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
