In 2020-2021, 13,238 people earned their degree in human services, making the major the 74th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, human services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,839 and had an average of $30,553 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Great Lakes region, there were 982 human services graduates with average earnings and debt of $28,712 and $30,430 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 356 human services graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,343 and $26,790 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent human services programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

This fairly large school is located in Chicago, Illinois, and it awarded 6 bachelors’s human services degrees in 2020-2021.
