In 2020-2021, 13,238 people earned their degree in human services, making the major the 74th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, human services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,839 and had an average of $30,553 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 2,801 human services graduates with average earnings and debt of $30,061 and $31,202 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,343 human services graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Human Services for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 21 colleges that offer a degree in human services. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great human services programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Human Services for a Bachelor’s. USF Tampa is a large public school situated in Tampa, Florida. It awarded 91 bachelors’s human services degrees in 2020-2021.
