Design & Applied Arts is the 36th most popular major in the country with 36,301 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, design and applied arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,426 and had an average of $25,481 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Great Lakes region, there were 5,375 design and applied arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,734 and $25,957 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,230 design and applied arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,343 and $26,790 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Design for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 58 colleges that offered a degree in design and applied arts. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great design and applied arts programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Baldwin Wallace University is located in Berea, Ohio and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 5 bachelors’s design degrees to qualified students.
