When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. The VA reports that there are 176 GI Bill® students at ECU. Since the total enrollment at the school is 2,157, roughly 8.2% of the students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. By comparison, the Student Veterans of America reports that three to four percent of college students nationwide are veterans.

Check with ECU about credit for life experience, CLEP and similar exams, or other prior learning beyond military training.
ECU does not offer Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs.
