In 2020-2021, 1,809 people earned their degree in insurance, making the major the 325th most popular in the United States.

Across the Southeast region, there were 781 insurance graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 738 insurance graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Insurance for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 10 colleges that offer a degree in insurance. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent insurance programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Insurance for a Bachelor’s. Florida State is located in Tallahassee, Florida and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 117 bachelors’s insurance degrees to qualified students.

Florida State did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best Insurance Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list.Of the 43,569 students enrolled at Florida State University, 8 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. UofSC is a large public school situated in Columbia, South Carolina. It awarded 124 bachelors’s insurance degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our southeast region bachelor’s degree vets studying insurance list, UofSC has also earned the #3 rank in our “Best Insurance Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Of the 35,470 students enrolled at UofSC, 1,609 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 651 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $8,453. In addition to receiving other benefits, 33 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. UofSC offers credit for military training for eligible students.
