You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend The University of Alabama. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Other Journalism for a Master’s list. UA is a large school located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that handed out 20 masters’s other journalism degrees in 2020-2021.

UA also made our “Best Other Journalism Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #2.According to our most recent data, UA supports 37,840 students, and 2,081 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,128 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,975. To help with additional expenses, 357 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Out of the 3 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Other Journalism for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of South Florida - Main Campus landed the #2 spot on the list. Tampa, Florida is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s other journalism degrees to 19 students in 2020-2021.

USF Tampa did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our “Best Other Journalism Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 2,211 of the 50,626 students enrolled at USF Tampa were GI Bill® students, of which 1,241 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $4,943. On top of their other funding sources, 13 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

The school has a large population, and it awarded 55 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.
