Located in the city of Boston, Boston U is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population. Boston U also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Communication & Journalism in the New England Region rankings.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.7%. 2,534 students at Boston U are exclusively online. About 6,370 of the students at Boston U are attending part time.

Emerson College landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best communication and journalism schools for non-traditional students. Emerson is a small private not-for-profit school located in the city of Boston. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Emerson, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Communication & Journalism in the New England Region ranking.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.8%. 85 of Emerson students are exclusively distance learners. There are roughly 166 part time students in attendance at Emerson. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Quinnipiac is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Hamden. Quinnipiac did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our Best Colleges for Communication & Journalism in the New England Region list.
