When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Education” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.

With 327,871 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, education is the 4th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.

Across Oregon, there were 4,329 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,136 and $25,159 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Education” ranking, we looked at 12 colleges that offer a degree in education. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great education programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the education program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

Oregon State not only placed well in this ranking. In addition to being on our oregon vets studying education list, UO has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 21,752 students enrolled at UO, 582 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Linfield University - McMinnville Campus is a private not-for-profit institution located in McMinnville, Oregon. The school has a small population, and it awarded 37 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
