In 2019-2020, electrical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $74,380 and had an average of $24,114 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 3,662 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $75,229 and $24,017 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for EE for a Doctorate” ranking looked at 12 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in electrical engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent electrical engineering programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

The school came in at #4 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for EE for a Doctorate. University of Oklahoma is a large public school situated in Norman, Oklahoma. It awarded 14 doctorate’s EE degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our southwest region doctor’s degree vets studying ee list, University of Oklahoma has also earned the #7 rank in our “Best Electrical Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 12 of the 27,772 students enrolled at University of Oklahoma were GI Bill® students, of which 10 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
