You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Carnegie Mellon University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Engineering for a Doctorate list. Carnegie Mellon University is a fairly large school located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that handed out 11 doctorate’s engineering degrees in 2020-2021.

Carnegie Mellon did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best General Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 117 of the 13,519 students enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University were GI Bill® students, of which 72 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
