In 2019-2020, industrial engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $68,960 and had an average of $24,268 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 2,419 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $69,633 and $23,339 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for IE for a Doctorate” ranking, we looked at 11 colleges that offer a degree in industrial engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality industrial engineering programs as well as strong veteran support.

Atlanta, Georgia is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s IE degrees to 21 students in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our southeast region doctor’s degree vets studying ie list, Georgia Tech has also earned the #1 rank in our “Best Industrial Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Among the 39,771 students enrolled at Georgia Tech, 430 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 240 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,376. In addition to receiving other benefits, 2 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

University of Central Florida landed the #8 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for IE for a Doctorate ranking. UCF is located in Orlando, Florida and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 14 doctorate’s IE degrees to qualified students.

UCF not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #8 on our “Best Industrial Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 2,263 of the 71,881 students enrolled at University of Central Florida were GI Bill® students, of which 1,216 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Tampa, Florida is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s IE degrees to 5 students in 2020-2021.

USF Tampa not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #10 on our “Best Industrial Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list.Of the 50,626 students enrolled at USF Tampa, 2,211 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 1,241 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $4,943.
