The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly for Science, Tech & Society for a Doctorate. Arizona State University - Tempe is located in Tempe, Arizona and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 5 doctorate’s science, tech and society degrees to qualified students.

ASU - Tempe not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #3 on our “Best Science, Technology & Society Doctor’s Degree Schools” list.Our most recent data shows that 7,566 of the 74,795 students enrolled at Arizona State University - Tempe were GI Bill® students, of which 3,828 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,068. To help with additional expenses, 672 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Arizona State University - Tempe offers credit for military training for eligible students.

Out of the 3 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for Science, Tech & Society for a Doctorate that were part of this year’s ranking, George Mason University landed the #2 spot on the list. GMU is a large public school situated in Fairfax, Virginia. It awarded 9 doctorate’s science, tech and society degrees in 2020-2021.

GMU also took the #2 spot in our “Best Science, Technology & Society Doctor’s Degree Schools” ranking.According to our most recent data, GMU supports 38,541 students, and 2,334 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,583 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Located in Troy, New York, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school handed out 4 diplomas to qualified doctorate’s science, tech and society students in 2020-2021.

RPI also made our “Best Science, Technology & Society Doctor’s Degree Schools” list, coming in at #1.Our most recent data shows that 104 of the 7,501 students enrolled at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute were GI Bill® students, of which 72 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $23,164. During this same period, 59 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
