Across the Southeast region, there were 260 science, technology and society graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,827 and $21,260 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend George Mason University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Science, Tech & Society for a Doctorate list. This large school is located in Fairfax, Virginia, and it awarded 9 doctorate’s science, tech and society degrees in 2020-2021.

GMU also took the #1 spot in our “Best Science, Technology & Society Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 2,334 of the 38,541 students enrolled at GMU were GI Bill® students, of which 1,583 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $10,710. To help with additional expenses, 42 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. GMU offers credit for military training for eligible students.
