Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Sustainability Science” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 3,005 people earned their degree in sustainability science, making the major the 176th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, sustainability science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,827 and had an average of $23,160 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Far Western US region, there were 388 sustainability science graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,714 and $20,476 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Washington - Seattle Campus. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Sustainability Science list. UW Seattle is a large school located in Seattle, Washington that handed out 53 ’s sustainability science degrees in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our far western us region vets studying sustainability science list, UW Seattle has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 1,283 of the 48,149 students enrolled at University of Washington - Seattle Campus were GI Bill® students, of which 769 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Sustainability Science. Stanford University is located in Stanford, California and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 29 ’s sustainability science degrees to qualified students.
Stanford also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Among the 15,953 students enrolled at Stanford, 188 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 118 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $18,909. To help with additional expenses, 61 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

WWU is located in Bellingham, Washington and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 38 ’s sustainability science degrees to qualified students.

To help with additional expenses, 7 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Located in Monmouth, Oregon, this small public school handed out 5 degrees to qualified ’s sustainability science students in 2020-2021.
Western Oregon State College not only placed well in this ranking. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 52 ’s sustainability science degrees to qualified students.
