Health & Physical Education is the 11th most popular major in the country with 67,146 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,386 and had an average of $24,576 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 7,394 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,746 and $25,089 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health and physical education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Erie, Pennsylvania is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s phys ed degrees to 12 students in 2020-2021.

Gannon did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #16 on our “Best Health & Physical Education Master’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list.Among the 4,251 students enrolled at Gannon, 51 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
