University of Minnesota - Twin Cities has taken the #1 spot in this year's sociology ranking for non-traditional students. UMN Twin Cities is a very large public school located in the large city of Minneapolis. As a testament to the quality of education offered at UMN Twin Cities, the school also landed the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Sociology in the Plains States Region ranking.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.6%. There are approximately 21,237 students at UMN Twin Cities that take at least one class online. About 13,655 of the students at UMN Twin Cities are attending part time.

University of Missouri - Columbia earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the city of Columbia, Mizzou is a public school with a very large student population. Mizzou also took the #2 spot in our Best Colleges for Sociology in the Plains States Region rankings.
About 0.7% of Mizzou students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 15,161 students take at least one class online at Mizzou. About 5,276 of the students at Mizzou are attending part time.
