Our Veterans Report on Med Academy:
An increased number of veterans enrolling at a particular school means that college faculty are more adept at accommodating and supporting those with previous military experience. The VA reports that there are 13 GI Bill® students at Med Academy. Since the total enrollment at the school is 297, nearly 4.4% of the students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. As a benchmark, the Student Veterans of America puts the share of veteran college students nationwide at three to four percent.
This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, such as Post-9/11, the Montgomery GI Bill®, the Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. Active-duty military using Tuition Assistance are excluded, so the actual military population may be bigger.
