Top 10 Best Education Schools for Non-Traditional Students

University of Central Oklahoma has taken the #1 spot in this year's education ranking for non-traditional students. UCO is a fairly large public school located in the large suburb of Edmond. UCO did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our Best Colleges for Education in Oklahoma list.

There are approximately 4,400 students at UCO that take at least one class online. 4,706 students are part time. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Northeastern State University earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the town of Tahlequah, NSU is a public college with a medium-sized student population. NSU also took the #8 spot in our Best Colleges for Education in Oklahoma rankings.

There are approximately 3,448 students at NSU that take at least one class online. About 2,711 of the students at NSU are attending part time. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Oklahoma State University - Main Campus earned the #3 spot in our 2021 rankings. OSU is a very large public school located in the distant town of Stillwater. As a testament to the quality of education offered at OSU, the school also landed the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Education in Oklahoma ranking.

The student loan default rate at OSU is lower than is typical, just 7.0% of students default in three years. Approximately 8,190 students take at least one class online at OSU. 5,303 of OSU students are attending part time. OSU does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University landed the #4 spot in our 2021 best education schools for non-traditional students. Located in the town of Weatherford, SWOSU is a public college with a small student population. SWOSU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #7 on our Best Colleges for Education in Oklahoma list.

There are approximately 1,529 students at SWOSU that take at least one class online. There are roughly 1,179 part time students in attendance at SWOSU. SWOSU does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
