The #1 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Bridgewater State University. Bridgewater State is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Bridgewater. In addition to being on our best for vets list, Bridgewater State has also earned the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Teacher Education Grade Specific in the New England Region ranking.

Among the 10,990 students enrolled at Bridgewater State, 391 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 153 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $7,927. On top of their other funding sources, 10 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
