In 2020-2021, 40,481 people earned their degree in general English literature, making the major the 24th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, general English literature graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $29,881 and had an average of $23,769 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 1,678 general English literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,754 and $22,801 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,418 general English literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,089 and $26,296 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for English for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 23 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general English literature. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general English literature programs as well as strong veteran support.

The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $2,677. To help with additional expenses, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
