In 2019-2020, general English literature graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $29,881 and had an average of $23,769 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 6,896 general English literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,277 and $24,468 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 5,729 general English literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,457 and $25,851 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for English for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 102 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general English literature. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general English literature programs as well as strong veteran support.
