Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent nursing programs, but they also offer a lot of support to non-traditional students.

University of St Francis has taken the #1 spot in this year's nursing ranking for non-traditional students. University of Saint Francis is a small private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Joliet. In addition to being on our bet for non-traditional students list, University of Saint Francis is in the top 20% of all schools on our Best Colleges for Nursing in the Great Lakes Region list.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Viterbo University. Located in the city of La Crosse, Viterbo is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population.
