Health Professions is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 2nd of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 977,800 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,927 and had an average of $20,846 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 250,124 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,702 and $20,498 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Health Professions Schools in the Southeast Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking analyzed 550 colleges that offered a degree in health professions. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality health professions programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the health professions program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
