In 2020-2021, 11,319 people earned their degree in entrepreneurial studies, making the major the 120th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, entrepreneurial studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,578 and had an average of $25,632 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 663 entrepreneurial studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,188 and $28,446 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 326 entrepreneurial studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,046 and $29,021 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Entrepreneurship for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 25 colleges that offer a degree in entrepreneurial studies. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality entrepreneurial studies programs as well as strong veteran support.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the entrepreneurial studies program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

Minneapolis College of Art and Design is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It awarded 7 bachelors’s entrepreneurship degrees in 2020-2021.

MCAD also made our “Best Entrepreneurial Studies Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region” list, coming in at #21.Among the 760 students enrolled at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, 19 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 11 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $12,588. On top of their other funding sources, 4 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
