General Business/Commerce is the 16th most popular major in the country with 56,042 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $43,399 and had an average of $26,389 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 5,037 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,168 and $26,839 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,157 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,046 and $29,021 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for General Business for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 28 colleges that offer a degree in general business/commerce. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general business/commerce programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the general business/commerce program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
