General Business/Commerce is the 16th most popular major in the country with 56,042 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $43,399 and had an average of $26,389 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 7,646 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,825 and $22,729 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,079 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for General Business for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 34 colleges that offered a degree in general business/commerce. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general business/commerce programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
