Real Estate is the 155th most popular major in the country with 6,547 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, real estate graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $60,568 and had an average of $21,484 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 934 real estate graduates with average earnings and debt of $54,664 and $19,534 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 210 real estate graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Real Estate for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 5 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in real estate. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality real estate programs as well as strong veteran support.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Texas Christian University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Real Estate for a Bachelor’s. TCU is a private not-for-profit institution located in Fort Worth, Texas. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 57 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.

TCU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best Real Estate Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.According to our most recent data, TCU supports 11,379 students, and 520 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 405 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $23,096. During this same period, 343 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 92%. UNT did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our “Best Real Estate Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Of the 40,953 students enrolled at University of North Texas, 2,038 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 1,138 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $9,999. During this same period, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 85%.

UTSA is a large public school situated in San Antonio, Texas. It awarded 47 bachelors’s real estate degrees in 2020-2021.

This fairly large school is located in Dallas, Texas, and it awarded 39 bachelors’s real estate degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at SMU, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Real Estate Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Of the 12,373 students enrolled at Southern Methodist University, 327 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 215 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $15,612. During this same period, 103 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Baylor University is a large private not-for-profit school situated in Waco, Texas. It awarded 20 bachelors’s real estate degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our southwest region bachelor’s degree vets studying real estate list, Baylor has also earned the #3 rank in our “Best Real Estate Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Of the 19,297 students enrolled at Baylor University, 876 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 593 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $17,744. To help with additional expenses, 263 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.
