In 2019-2020, 52,262 people earned their degree in marketing, making the major the 16th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, marketing graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $40,323 and had an average of $24,975 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,641 marketing graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Marketing Schools for an Associate” ranking analyzed 158 colleges that offered a degree in marketing. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent marketing programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the marketing program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Out of the 158 schools in the Best Value Marketing Schools for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Normandale Community College landed the #1 spot on the list. LATI also made our “Best Marketing Associate Degree Schools” list, coming in at #3. The yearly cost to attend Lake Area Technical Institute is $12,939 for Associate Degree Marketing students.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Southeast Technical College. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Marketing Schools for an Associate. Southeast Tech is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and, has a small student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 27 associates’s marketing degrees to qualified students.
Southeast Tech did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best Marketing Associate Degree Schools” list. It costs about $14,633 for associate degree marketing students per year to attend Southeast Tech.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Chippewa Valley Technical College. The school came in at #4 for the Best Value Marketing Schools for an Associate. Chippewa Valley Technical College is a medium-sized public school situated in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. It awarded 32 associates’s marketing degrees in 2019-2020.
CVTC not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #6 on our “Best Marketing Associate Degree Schools” list. The estimated yearly cost for Chippewa Valley Technical College is $10,773 for Associate Degree Marketing students.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend LDS Business College. The school came in at #5 for the Best Value Marketing Schools for an Associate. Western Technical College ranked #8 on this year’s Best Value Marketing Schools for an Associate list. Western Technical College is a public institution located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The school has a small population, and it awarded 12 associates’s degrees in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at NEO A&M College, the school also landed the #16 spot in our “Best Marketing Associate Degree Schools” ranking. It costs about $9,095 for associate degree marketing students per year to attend Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.
With a ranking of #15, Waukesha County Technical College did quite well on the 2022 Best Value Marketing Schools for an Associate list. WCTC is a medium-sized school located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin that handed out 13 associates’s marketing degrees in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education it offers, WCTC is also in the top of our “Best Marketing Associate Degree Schools” ranking. It’s in the top 20% of all schools in this category.
