Western Governors University has taken the #1 spot in this year's marketing ranking for non-traditional students. WGU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Salt Lake City.
About 0.7% of WGU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. All 150,116 students take classes exclusively online at WGU.
Brigham Young University - Provo comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. Located in the medium-sized city of Provo, BYU is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population. BYU also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Marketing in Utah rankings.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.4%. Approximately 12,325 students take at least one class online at BYU. There are roughly 4,504 part time students in attendance at BYU.

University of Utah earned the #3 spot in our 2021 rankings. U of U is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Salt Lake City. U of U also took the #2 spot in our Best Colleges for Marketing in Utah rankings.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.8%. There are approximately 19,378 students at U of U that take at least one class online. 7,185 of U of U students are attending part time.
Utah State University comes in at #4 in this year's ranking. Located in the city of Logan, USU is a public school with a fairly large student population. USU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our Best Colleges for Marketing in Utah list.

Westminster College Utah earned the #6 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the city of Salt Lake City, Westminster College Salt Lake is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population. Westminster College Salt Lake did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our Best Colleges for Marketing in Utah list.
