In 2020-2021, 88,434 computer information systems students received their degree, making the major the 9th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,066 and had an average of $26,787 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 30,779 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,839 and $25,232 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 3,760 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,328 and $20,384 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for CIS for an Associate” ranking, we looked at 41 colleges that offer a degree in computer information systems. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality computer information systems programs as well as strong veteran support.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the computer information systems program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
