In 2020-2021, 556,813 liberal arts general studies students received their degree, making the major the 1st most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, liberal arts general studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.

Across Oregon, there were 8,602 liberal arts general studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,126 and $16,755 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Liberal Arts” ranking, we looked at 16 colleges that offer a degree in liberal arts general studies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great liberal arts general studies programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Portland State University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Liberal Arts. Portland, Oregon is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s liberal arts degrees to 237 students in 2020-2021.

Portland State University also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].According to our most recent data, Portland State University supports 23,640 students, and 1,127 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 739 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Oregon State University is a public institution located in Corvallis, Oregon. The school has a large population, and it awarded 66 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Southwestern Oregon Community College is located in Coos Bay, Oregon and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 213 ’s liberal arts degrees to qualified students.
