Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Liberal Arts / Sciences & Humanities for a Bachelor’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.

In 2020-2021, 556,813 liberal arts / sciences and humanities students received their degree, making the major the 3rd most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, liberal arts / sciences and humanities graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,337 and had an average of $17,430 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 163,228 liberal arts / sciences and humanities graduates with average earnings and debt of $25,841 and $16,920 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 10,576 liberal arts / sciences and humanities graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Liberal Arts / Sciences & Humanities for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 97 colleges that offered a degree in liberal arts / sciences and humanities. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality liberal arts / sciences and humanities programs as well as strong veteran support.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the liberal arts / sciences and humanities program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
