When pursuing a degree in today’s world, veterans have many different options to choose from. In 2020-2021, 29,810 people earned their degree in general education, making the major the 41st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, general education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $48,719 and had an average of $23,394 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 2,988 general education graduates with average earnings and debt of $52,715 and $16,946 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,080 general education graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Texas A&M University - College Station. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Education for a Bachelor’s list. Texas A&M College Station is a large public school situated in College Station, Texas. It awarded 383 bachelors’s education degrees in 2020-2021.
