In 2019-2020, chemical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $65,870 and had an average of $23,285 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 884 chemical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $66,793 and $23,617 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 740 chemical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,046 and $29,021 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Chem Eng for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 12 colleges that offered a degree in chemical engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality chemical engineering programs as well as strong veteran support.
