In 2020-2021, 4,858 people earned their degree in food, nutrition and related services, making the major the 135th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, food, nutrition and related services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $34,748 and had an average of $24,931 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 1,098 food, nutrition and related services graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,886 and $25,547 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Nutrition Schools in the Southeast Region For Those Making $75-$110k” ranking analyzed 14 colleges that offered a degree in food, nutrition and related services. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality food, nutrition and related services programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
