In 2020-2021, 141,695 general psychology students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, general psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $30,326 and had an average of $26,018 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 31,121 general psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $28,351 and $27,529 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Psychology for a Master’s” ranking analyzed 70 colleges that offered a degree in general psychology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general psychology programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
