Accounting is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 8th of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 99,265 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, accounting graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,712 and had an average of $26,539 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Far Western US region, there were 11,263 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $49,675 and $24,003 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Accounting” ranking looked at 104 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in accounting. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality accounting programs as well as strong veteran support.
